AUTISM: THE MUSICAL has just won the audience award at the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival and the Palm Springs International Film Festival. That makes a total of four awards (also the audience awards at Mill Valley and Newport Film Festivals).

    Thanks!

Where did you get your information? Darius Goes West has won 25 film festival awards. That is posted on our website. Thanks for the mention, though. Know about it!

I want to clarify something about the awards list… it is based on a sample of festivals and not filmmaker site. At this time, I have about 31 film festivals in my database, but this clearly is not all 600+ film festivals that exist. The sample was based upon ease of data collection, prominence of festival, and the occasional request by fellow filmmakers. If you are curious about this database, you should go directly to Lathrios.com or use the film or festival search box on the right bar.

For everyone who feels slighted by me not knowing about every win, I apologize I am doing my best to add more and more data. I just got the New York Film Festival up today!

As a documentary film producer, I find it interesting that it has only been documentary filmmakers who wrote in comments about this post… food for thought about my people.
